Hotel Die Port Van Cleve is often described as a comfortable and conveniently located choice, especially for exploring central Amsterdam, with many popular shops and restaurants within walking distance and easy access to the canal district (Grachtengordel). The hotel, set in a cool historical building, features unique elements like the world's largest tile fresco, designed by A. Le Comte, and a beautiful bar with blue tiles that guests enjoy visiting. While some guests have found the rooms very tiny and lacking closet space, others appreciate the spacious superior rooms and comfortable beds.

The reception staff were always cute and helpful. Room 221 has a very romantic balcony. I found a unique piece of history, the world's largest tile fresco designed by A. Le Comte from Koninklijke Porceleyne Fles.
The hairdryer in the room was terrible. It was fixed to the wall and very old. The pillows on the bed are very hard. The shower over a bath was not draining properly.

adequate stay, certain aspects need improvement

stained carpetsubpar toiletries
The room i was assigned had a noticeable issue with cleanliness. I found the carpet stained and visibly unclean. this detracted from the overall experience i expected at this price point. furthermore, the provided toiletries were of subpar quality. the shower gel seemed diluted and the shampoo left my hair feeling stripped. i suggest an upgrade to higher quality amenities.
